One of the biggest mistakes we see is when entrepreneurs rely on their payroll system to handle all of their “HR”
Payroll is NOT hr. Setting up payroll and paying people is the easiest part of having a team.
In fact, we don’t even offer payroll as a service, because I ethically cannot take money from people to do the easiest thing. (But, of course we’re HR nerds, so we have our favorite Payroll System. Who doesn’t?!)
But even the best payroll system doesn’t guarantee compliance. It won’t track if you have all the necessary paperwork or information. And you won’t know that you’re missing crucial information about employment until it is too late! Don’t let that happen to you.
Building a team is not easy, and HR is not something you have to check off your list. An HR Strategy is a living, breathing, evolving organism that learns and grows with you as a leader.
