4 Reasons To Outsource the HR Of Your Online Business

    March 30, 2021

Let’s face it, making the decision to take the leap from solopreneurship to CEO is scary. This kind of up-leveling is a whole new world of priorities, responsibilities and fears.

So…. Ummm (awkward)– where’s the good part of this? Why would you even want to do this? One word: impact. Not only do you get the opportunity to create beautiful experiences for your clients as an entrepreneur and fulfill your purpose, but you get to impact the livelihoods of your chosen team members as well.  From creating a lucrative and freedom-filled lifestyle that puts your people at the forefront of their careers to joining the bonafide CEO community and helping to change the face of traditional business management.

Setting the foundation of your hiring strategy and growth planning through solid, thoughtful, and compliant policies and procedures may sound like a total snooze, especially if you want to create a culture that is the perfect mix of productivity and fulfillment. But it is worth it.  Here are the 4 best reasons to outsource the HR of your organization and create a legendary company culture at your company.

So what is the case for outsourcing the HR for my online business?

I’m Kira, self-proclaimed HR nerd and people lover.

But enough about me, this is about you and your beautiful online based organization.

    Reason #1: Neutrality

If being a good boss and providing an excellent work environment for your team is at the top of your concerns, then providing a space of neutrality for your team to bring up questions and concerns about their environment can be one of the best things you can do for your team.

Creating an environment that is psychologically safe for your team to provide feedback and concerns has also proven to positively impact employee retention and productivity.

Hiring a team is more than just I9 forms, and taxes. It’s about putting the humanity into the development of your business. In a culture where authenticity and fulfillment are the priorities of our clients and peers, how cool is it that we can create a place where people want to work, stay for years, and grow with you. As bosses, we like to think that our employees will come to us with anything they might need. But I hate to break it to you, that is not always the case. In fact, with 57% of employees quitting their jobs because of an issue with their boss, creating a way to resolve those grievances without involving bias or emotion will pay in dividends to your company’s progress and your employee retention rate.

    Reason #2: Compliance

The ultimate protection for your company is to have an attorney on staff, but that isn’t always possible or necessary. Not to mention, most attorneys are not going to be able to provide a well-rounded perspective on inclusive management or leadership coaching.

In the world of online business, we get the opportunity to hire talent from all different geographical locations, creating a situation where our company has to be aware of the constantly changing rules and regulations in the states in which our employees reside. It can be nearly impossible to run a business and keep up with all the compliance that can come up when it comes to HR policies and procedures.

Hiring Paradigm will ensure that your employees are cared for and your policies are fair, consistent, and inclusive. We will put your company culture first, so that the work environment that you are creating for your growing team is one that you can be proud of.

Reason #3: Your Time Is Priceless

Managers and supervisors spend a huge bulk of their time managing the needs and performance of their team. In fact, the industry standard recommended number of direct reports generally falls around 7. However, this number does not account for the general experience of part-time remote employees with flexible schedules that span  multiple time zones (PHEW- that was a mouthful). In fact, there is evidence that a set “span of control (SOC)” can reduce the efficacy of the organization’s process.

In the online business world, our teams are customized to the needs of the business. We are often running micro-teams, and need to make the most of our resources (ahem Set To Scale Library) so that we can continue running our organization as it is meant to be run. If we can find ways to save time through outsourcing necessities that are specialized to the industry in which we work, we can absolutely keep our visionary mindset front and center and keep our company growing.

Reason #4: Unbiased Support From A Peer

Let’s face it, it’s lonely at the top. For over 8 years, I have worked in the top-level leadership position in my career as a Director of Operations and HR.  The worst thing about this position was the loneliness. With my coworkers being a level below me, it wasn’t always appropriate to lean on them for important decisions or to work through options and ideas.

Outsourcing your Human Resources will give you a sounding board in your consultant that cares about the success, understand the culture that you are trying to build, and is completely unbiased in the decisions you are making that affect your team.

So what are you waiting for?

The bottom line is, you get to decide every single little thing that your company does and stands for. Creating a rock solid foundation on which your team can be built will provide you the freedom to pursue your creative interests, push your company forward, and live the life you always wanted.

Let’s work together to create a company that you can be proud of.
